How it actually works
NetSuite is a suite first, and the AI is layered on top of it. Understanding that order explains most of what follows.
An invoice arrives by email or upload. Intelligent Bill Capture, using OCI Document Understanding, extracts the fields from the document.
The extracted values land on a Review Scanned Bill screen. A person checks the read, and then a vendor bill is created in NetSuite.
From there, the normal NetSuite mechanics take over. Three-way match, approval routing, and payment are existing suite functionality rather than part of the capture step.
